RiseWorks Crew

Shoot for the helpers.

RiseWorks Crew is a vetted directory of freelance videographers and photographers. Mission-driven organizations browse it when they need someone behind the camera.

One directory

Videographers and photographers sit side by side. Both disciplines carry the same weight here.

One profile

Your samples, your specialties, your city. Kept current by you, searchable by the organizations looking for it.

One standard

Every assignment gets the same craft, and every subject gets informed consent and dignity on set.

Why join

What being listed gets you.

Paid assignments

Crew work is paid work. Scope and terms are settled before a shoot day is booked.

Work worth putting your name on

Programs in the field and the people who run them. These are stories that reward patience and a good eye.

Clients with a mission

Nonprofits, foundations, and research organizations use StoryOS to tell their stories. Crew is how they find the people to shoot them.

Pro bono, if you want it

You can opt in to pro bono assignments from your profile, and turn it off whenever you like. It stays your call.

The path in

How vetting works.

Step one

Apply

Tell us who you are, where you shoot, and what you shoot. It is a short form.

Step two

Build your profile

Add your work samples, your disciplines, your home base, and how far you travel. Your profile is what an organization reads before it reaches out, so give it real footage and real frames.

Step three

Get reviewed

We watch and read every submission. We look for craft, reliability, and care with the people in front of the lens.

Step four

Get listed

Approved crew appear in the directory. Organizations browse by discipline, home base, and how far you travel, favorite the people they want on their next shoot, and reach out directly.

Straight talk

Where we are right now.

RiseWorks is early. You should know that before you apply.

  • A small number of organizations run their storytelling on StoryOS today. We are building the directory ahead of the demand it will serve.
  • We make no promise about how much work reaches you, or how often. Anyone who tells a freelancer otherwise at this stage is guessing.
  • The reason to join now is the quality of the work and a place in the directory while it is still small.
  • Your profile stays yours. Edit your samples, your coverage, and your pro bono setting whenever you want.
